Ladies Championship
The summer golfing events at Gerrards Cross are now coming thick and fast. Last week the Ladies Championship, which is their premier competition of the year, was held over 36 holes. The weather and condition of the course was perfect for golf and provided a very close result for the main competition.
Gillian Kinnear won the scratch prize from Lisa Allen with an aggregate score of 163 on a count back. Sue Holdship, who put in a sturdy performance, finished in third place on a total of 171.
In the handicap trophy, I noticed a familiar name in this newsletter with Julie Kinchin the overall winner with an aggregate of 145. Runner up was Julie Monk and third place went to Pam Willis. Other notable prize winners on the day included Sarah Roake and Georgie Cairns (best morning and afternoon scratch), Shirley Green and Cherri Shotbolt (best morning and afternoon handicap). The Ladies committee continue to be very efficient and, as always, I noticed this event seemed to run like clockwork. Congratulations from the Pro Shop to all the winners. |

Putting Masterclass Evening
Odyssey Metal X Putters | Once again we had a great turnout for my second Putting Masterclass; around 25 members joined us for some more tips and the opportunity to test some new putters from the top putter manufacturers.
A few pictures of the evening are featured below and I still have the complete range of new Metal X demo putters from Odyssey for the next week, so please come down to the Pro Shop and test a few out on the putting green.
